This Introduction to Ecology course was designed by Professor R. Robberecht, Professor in Department of Rangeland Ecology for his students at the University of Idaho. He has been a ToolBook user for one year. Read his comments below about how and why he uses ToolBook in the classroom.

"ToolBook Instructor allows educators to easily create nonlinear interactive learning materials that can contain context sensitive questions and responses, and branching to accommodate various learning levels. This authoring system has allowed me to create learning materials that are content rich, interactive, and compatible with a variety of learning styles. Because I can encode my pedagogical approach and expertise into the learning materials, students can be guided during their independent study. I have found it an excellent program for enhancing the learning environment.

Most of my learning materials are distributed via the internet in native mode with Neuron. These native learning materials are considerably more sophisticated and content rich than those shown above. The native learning materials also showcase the context-based questioning and responses to a better degree than the DHTML-deployed materials shown above.”

"This is part of a course I prepared from a given manuscript for the now defunct Mec2Learn.com. It uses elements of the old Click2Learn online course site.

After attending the Toolbook Instructor training, I am excited about the elearning possibilities using Toolbook. Dan Richards, the Toolbook trainer, was amazingly clear, concise and comprehensive.
